SASSA might be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regards to the substantial variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure SRD at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company level developed here for intervention ordeals a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
